Nothing symbolizes an idyllic rural lifestyle like cows. But in fact, most cattle are actually kept in stalls, not in meadows. Black and white alpha cow, Samura, is lucky enough to be able to spend six months of the year in the company of her little herd, grazing the meadows of southern Germany. On her organic farm she can enjoy soft ground, fresh air and juicy green fodder, but she’s also at the mercy of wind and weather, as well as parasites. The story of Samura and her herd is recounted from an up-close perspective, and, in an entertaining, unusual and exciting way, delivering new insights into the often surprising private life of a very likeable farm animal.
